Handsome trellis for Clematis! ... New maple tree for the Info Centre courtyard!

Christine, Paul, and Penny met on Wednesday to install a trellis that Paul donated from his basement storage area to help one of our clematis plants make it on the climb up to the blue chain-link fence... And to plant a small Japanese maple (which Penny had grown from seed on her deck) in one of the planters in front of the Info Centre.

There will be a meeting with Sara Orchard and someone from the Park Board on Monday at 10:00 a.m. to make specific plans for the berm in the southeastern corner of the Greenway. Please come if you can!

And we'll have an official work party as usual on Monday afternoon at 3:00.

Work Party Monday May 19th, 3:00!

Hope you can make it! We might want to tackle one or two of the planters in the Brit courtyard if we don't think our labours are needed in the Greenway today.
Bring tools if you have them.
No need to RSVP... Just come if you can...

Work Party in the Greenway, Monday May 12, 3:00

Hi folks,
We will have a work party in the Napier Greenway tomorrow at 3:00. Not sure what we'll do, but weeding is on the list for certain, and tidying up. Pruning.
Bring your own tools if you have them (kneeling pad, weeding tool, gloves, broom, secateurs, etc.).
It's always fun.
No need to RSVP. Just come if you can!
Cheers,
Penny

Adorable baby rat in my yard! We're trying to discourage whoever it is that feeds the pigeons in the Greenway, scattering many large chunks of bread every day. This person is also feeding the Greenway rats.

There's a lot of action in the mason bee condo so far this year! We didn't get very many cocoons last year. Maybe we'll do better this year.
