There was a short Britannia Neighbours meeting Oct 25, 2005, attended by Pat Davitt, Jane Hood, Margaret Condon, and Penny Street.
RE: the bench-around-the-tree -- Penny reported on a chat with Terry Dixon about the bench and how it was to have been replaced in September. Terry said she would be in touch with Aby Sharma (of the NIST Team) to find out progress on the reinstallation and get back to us.
RE: the clock tower
Since Enzo is resigning as ED of Britannia Community Services Centre, the issue of the sign and clock tower has been referred to Anthony, who is heading up a small committee to make recommendations to Britannia Neighbours and to the Britannia Board. Pat and Penny are both on the committee, which hasn't met yet. Will report at next meeting.
Other than that, the meeting was devoted to catching up on news and settling on dates for our upcoming activities.

Here are a few announcements:
Saturday, Nov 5th, 2:00 p.m. onward -- picking up ACORNS and raking (preparing the Greenway for winter) and planting about 30 daffodil bulbs. This would be fun for kids.
Tuesday Nov 22nd at 8:00 p.m. -- our next regular meeting at the Info Centre
Saturday Nov 26th and Sunday Nov 27th, 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. -- craft show and sale at Pat Davitt's (1492 William)
Saturday Dec 3rd -- Fund-raising dinner for children with AIDS (contact Pat for more information)
Tuesday Dec 20th at 7:30 p.m. -- BN Christmas get-together at Pat Davitt's

Hey Brit Neighbours -
Don't forget our Christmas party, which is late this year, close to Christmas: Namely at Pat's house (you all know where that is) at 7:30 p.m. on Tues. December 20th. Bring nibblies and finger food, and a little bit of what you want to drink. I'll provide tea and coffee and music and the TREE! Cheers, Pat

The Napier Square Greenway has been a hub of activity since it first opened in 2001.
