A Big Thank You to All Our Customers
We'd really like to thank all our customers for their support over the past year, and wish everyone a Happy New Year with peace, prosperity, health and happiness for you in 2012.

Figaro's Garden will continue operations in 2012
We also want to let you know that despite Glen's passing in August, Figaro's Garden will continue operations for the foreseeable future. We're excited about this spring. However, we could really use your help! One of our challenges as a small local independent retail store - especially one which is sort of off the beaten track - is to be known. We'd be really grateful if you could pass the word on about us to your friends, and acquaintances. For example, the current sale. Or, if they want to receive this email to be informed when we have similar events, please let us know.

Our 50% OFF EVERYTHING SALE ends Saturday 31 December
Our great boxing week sale continues to New Year's eve on Saturday January 31st. We close at 5pm on New Year's Eve and reopen Wednesday 4 January.

Colourful primulas arrive 4 January!
Looking to add some colour to your garden in the dreary winter months? We're getting a great selection of colourful cold-hardy primulas in on 4 January. Hellebores will be arriving shortly as well. And in the second half of January we'll be getting a full selection of West Coast Seeds.

Place your tree order now
Are you looking for a special tree for for your garden? We will no longer be stocking trees, but instead will be sourcing trees as needed from our suppliers. If you are interested in a specific fruit or ornamental tree (or even some other rare plant) please let us know by emailing us figaro@telus.net. It would be really helpful if you could provide the latin name of the species and the cultivar name too. If you are uncertain, please ring the shop 604 612 1364 and perhaps we can help identify it for you. Or, if you don't know what tree you want, we can decide on one jointly.

Plenty of spring bulbs still
With this unusually warm weather, it's still the perfect time to plant your spring bulbs. We still have a great selection, and with 50% OFF this is the perfect opportunity to pick up some rarer more expensive bulbs like the choice alliums and fritillarias and bearded irises.

Limited store hours in January
We wish you a Happy In January we will be open Wed-Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-6am. We will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays in January.

Hello Britannia Neighbours!
Not much happens in the Greenway over the coldest months of winter. I'm imagining that we'll get gardening underway again in about March. In the meantime, Matthew, from The Kettle, is working two hours a week keeping the Greenway litter-free and tidy.
We are generally annoyed when anyone dumps something they don't want in the Greenway, but I must admit I was amused by the coffee table that arrived recently. It's gone already (perhaps removed by staff from Drive Organics who said they would take care of any large items that needed to be discarded) but not before I caught a photo of Nicola Robinson, teacher at Britannia Elementary, sitting on one of the Greenway benches with the coffee table.
Cheers and happy holidays!
