We'll have a work party in the Greenway today (last day of Sept) at 3:00. We've got bulbs to plant and there are acorns and leaves to rake and bag up.
Hope you can make it. If you have them, bring your kneeling pad and trowel for bulbs and your leaf rake for acorns and leaves!

Work party today in the Greenway?

Hi Brit Neighbours,
Will we have a work party today in the Greenway? Maybe! Let's say it depends on the weather… If it's raining at 3:00, let's cancel, but if not, let's do it.
If you have them, bring your rake, your trowel, your gardening gloves, a kneeling pad.
We've got tons of leaf bags, thanks to the Green Streets people who dropped them off last week.
The leaves are starting to come down off the oak trees… and acorns!
And we have more bulbs to plant.

Work party today (Sept 16), Greenway, 3:00

Hi.

The Green Streets Program Coordinator, Liz Nowatschin, has offered to drop off a lot of bulbs for us, and leaf bags and gardening gloves and trowels and, weather permitting, she'll drop by with all this gear this afternoon at 3:00.
So if you are able to come to a work party today, we will need your help to plant loads of bulbs in the Greenway (and guarantee a spectacular bloomin' spring).

Plus, it's the beginning of raking-oak-leaves season, so we can do that until Liz arrives. If you have one, bring your own leaf rake. If not, we'll have a few.

Please join us if you can! No need to RSVP.

Happily, we've had lots of rain lately, so no watering is required. Many thanks to Sarah Wall for the fantastic and reliable job she did watering all summer. It was pretty dry, but thanks to Sarah, everything survived and thrived.

Hi folks,
Paul's away. Eric's away. Sarah's doing a fine job of looking after the watering. There's not too much to do in the greenway (aside from dead-heading the hydrangeas, which we can easily do next week). So let's not have a work party today.
