Work party tomorrow, in the Napier Greenway, 3:00

Hi Britannia Neighbours,

It seems pretty likely that the weather will be nice tomorrow.

Come to the Greenway at around 3:00 (Monday, April 29) and we'll have fun, tidy it up, trim and rake, weed, etc.

If you have tools, bring them.

If not, we have some.

Cancelled if the weather's terrible.

Here are the big pile of "veggie mix", our Eric, and Stephen, the fellow who delivered the soil two weeks ago. It's all spread in the beds now!

Here are Eric ... and Steve, the fellow from It's About Thyme, who delivered the pile of veggie mix to the Greenway last week. We had great turn-out for the work party and dealt with all the soil by about 4:30.

Important Work Party, Monday April 15, 3:00!

Hi Britannia Neighbours,

We are getting a load of City compost delivered to the Greenway tomorrow (Monday) between noon and 2:00, and the weather is supposed to be pretty good … The quicker we can move it into the garden beds, the better. It seems it will be raining for the rest of the week, so if we have many hands tomorrow, with many shovels and wheel barrows and buckets, we should be able to get it done.

Also, we’re having a visit from Liz Nowatschin, the City’s Green Streets Coordinator, and her supervisor tomorrow to talk with us about Margaret Mitchell Plaza … and also what they can do to improve our greenway.

So… there’s a lot happening tomorrow, and if there was ever a day that you thought you might like to drop by the greenway to lend a hand, we’d love to see you. Invite your friends, too!

If you have them and it’s easy for you, please bring your own shovel, wheelbarrow, buckets. Many hands do make light work! 3:00-5:00, Napier Square Greenway.

Work party Monday afternoon, 3:00

Hi Brit Neighbours,
We'll have a work party tomorrow afternoon, 3:00, weather permitting.
If it's actually raining at 3:00, cancelled.
Christine and I went to Garden Works last week and got a couple of "Rose Glow" Barberry shrubs to put in the greenway to deter people from cutting across the garden beds to get from the parking lot behind Choices to the front entry of the store.
So we'll plant those.
And do a bit more clean up and prep for a load of City compost that will be delivered soon.
